VA JPA Solos Only Competition

I competed in Virginia Jigsaw Puzzle Association’s Solos Only competition, which summed your total performance across three rounds of puzzling. I placed 19th of 50 competitors overall.

My best performance of the day was on Save the Bees, despite the Comic Sans.

This competition, in addition to being ranked per round, was also ranked overall by summing the total time to complete each puzzle. This style of competition tests your overall performance as a puzzler, across three different types of puzzles.

For this competition, the variants were:

  1. Unreleased (Boardwalk), testing your ability to quickly strategize on an image which you’ve never seen before.

  2. Serene (Eurographics), testing your abilities on a nature scene more common in European competitions.

  3. Whimsical (Mimsybird), testing your abilities on a flat illustration more commonly seen in American competitions.
